Milestones

With Ross Tokely suspended for 3 matches the ICT line-up was reshaped and teenager Andrew Allan made his first start. Wayne Addicoat came in for the injured Duncan Shearer. In the opening minute Barry Wilson was only inches wide with a long range shot and three minutes later John Crawford fired a volley wide at the other end. In the 18th minute a Wilson corner found Mike Teasdale but his header was cleared to Paul Cherry but he mishit and the ball trundled wide. On the half-hour mark Arbroath made their best move of the game. McAulay and Mercer combined to feed John McGlashan but his first time shot was parried then grabbed by Jim Calder. On the stroke of half-time a Teasdale shot came off the post and just eluded Scott McLean. Three minutes into the second half came the only goal of the match. A Wilson corner from the left was met by Cherry and his header gave Craig Hinchcliffe no chance. In 68 minutes Calder came off his line quickly to deny John McGlashan. With 12 minutes left Hinchcliffe made a brilliant save from a Wayne Addicoat close range shot then Paul Sheerin sent a header wide after an Addicoat shot was blocked. With time running out Arbroath had two chances. Colin McGlashan was through but Calder came off his line to deny him then a Mercer shot trickled wide with Calder beaten. Another valuable win for ICT which sees them still second in the Division only a point behind Livingston but seven points clear of third placed Clyde.
